Jake Paul- “Tank” Davis Fight Cancelled
The highly promoted showdown between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis, scheduled for November 14 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, has been officially canceled.
Most Valuable Promotions, the company co-founded by Paul, announced the decision after Davis’ ex-girlfriend filed a civil lawsuit accusing the WBA star of aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. In light of the allegations, the promotion opted to pull the plug on the exhibition bout, ending what had become one of the most talked-about crossover boxing events of the year.
MVP had been actively exploring a replacement opponent for Paul on the Netflix fight card, but no new name has been finalized. CEO Nakisa Bidarian confirmed that while this event is off the table, the plan is still for Jake Paul to headline a major Netflix boxing event in 2025, with details on the date, venue, and opponent to be announced once secured.
Following the cancellation, Paul went on the offensive publicly, using his X account to unleash a scathing attack on Davis’ character and professionalism, highlighting past legal issues and behavior that he claims made working with Davis “a nightmare.” The comments only added fuel to an already volatile storyline surrounding the scrapped matchup.
Fans who purchased tickets for Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis through Ticketmaster will receive automatic refunds for the canceled event.
This latest development keeps Paul in the spotlight as speculation builds around his next opponent, his future with Most Valuable Promotions, and the upcoming Netflix boxing showcase in 2025.
